I live barefooted and naked, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i. I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβš‘πŸ’₯πŸ”₯βœ΄οΈβœ³οΈβ‡οΈπŸ‘£πŸŒ±βœ¨πŸ€™

Warm greetings all! πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

There are two ways to use our Hive assets in the world as a form of payment, one being direct, and the other indirect. Using our assets directly would be doing so in the way that @hivesucre is very successfully implementing in the CumanΓ‘, Sucre, Venezuela, where they've onboarded 60 businesses so far to accept HBD as valid payment for goods and services. This is an ideal situation, and one that I truly hope spreads everywhere, and through focused and coordinated community outreach, education, and onboarding by those of us that love and believe in Hive, it can.

Another direct means of using our Hive assets would be to purchase goods and services through @hivelist's Hivelist Store, which accepts HBD, as well as an array of other cryptocurrencies like BTC, LTC, BCH, DOGE, MATIC, MONERO and USDC (Polygon only). This is another excellent solution to the dilemma, as we would not need to convert our Hive assets into another currency to use.

In the meantime, before our Hive assets can be used directly in the world, for most of the things that most of us need to buy, however, we must do it indirectly, by converting our HIVE or HBD to some version of fiat currency to be able to use. Depending on where we live in the world, this process may be quick and easy, or fraught with difficulties.

In the US, of example, with ever-more fake laws and regulations around the use of cryptocurrencies, converting our Hive assets to US dollars is a process characterized by a great deal of KYC-enforcing gatekeepers, fees, and taxes. Personally, I refuse to bow or cower to such insidious and pernicious nonsense, so for the time being I will simply continuing building, growing, and saving my assorted Hive assets, until the point when I am able to convert them easily, quickly, and without unlawful fees and taxes being applied to them. I'm not really even at a stage of my account's growth where I would consider removing assets yet, so it's not an issue at the moment.

For those living in the US, do you know of any way to convert HIVE or HBD to US dollars without KYC, fees, or taxation?

I've known about @hivelist's store for a while now, but I've so far never used it. I think I'll be perusing it a bit more thoroughly, and paying more attention to what's actually sold there. Not only would it be a way to support fellow Hivers/Hivians, but I would have a way to buy things that I actually need using what I make here on Hive. I very much like that idea!

I was able to leave the Flow House yesterday, Saturday, just before 2:30PM, after wrapping up my essential Hive tasks. I first spent a little time taking photos for this post, and then I put my focus on my first land-work task of the day, which was, as it usually is lately, to collect Melochia and Cecropia leaves, and cane grass, for cow-milking food. When I had that done, I walked around the property looking to for unused tree-protection cages, as I needed three to put over some young fruit trees in the Star Apple Orchard, because Daisy the cow will be spending some time in there soon. Unfortunately I was only able to find one, which I used to protect a rare Peruvian fruit that I had planted earlier in the year. So I still have to find two more cages, likely around young banana plants that have died. I can't do that today, but hopefully I'll be able to finish it tomorrow.

Between the cool and cloudy weather, and the fact that it starts getting dark so early, I wasn't able to get any more land work done yesterday, which is a bit frustrating. After finishing land work, I took a shower, strained out kefir for my kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao blend, got my leftover food from the Landing fridge, got food for my kitty friend, then I headed back to the Flow House, to get to my evening round of Hive tasks and catching up on notifications, which I was able to complete just before 10PM. I did a short round of token management, before finally going to bed, quite early indeed. I slept well until almost 3AM, then unable to sleep, I did a little token management, then did my best to sleep again, which seemed to work somewhat at least. I woke up again around 8:30AM, did another short round of token management, then I got out of bed to go make my superfood fire coffee around 9AM.

Today's Sunday, which means that I have my giant 81st Sunday Weekly Hive Goals and Progress Update to put together and write, so I need to make sure that I have all my Hive tasks, and all my catching up on notifications, done as early as possible. I don't think (I still have to verify) that I have to get cow food today, and I already took all the photos for tomorrow's version of this post in the morning, so that should help out with time a bit. I'm very much hoping that I can get my Goals and Progress Update published before 11PM. We'll see!

The time is now approaching 1:45PM, so it's a good time to end this post, so that I can get to my thorough job of Hive tasks and catching up on notifications, before jumping into compiling the token data for, and writing, my monster post. I deeply appreciate you all so very much! Until that post tonight, and the next incarnation of this post tomorrow! Onward and upward, joyfully together! 😁 πŸ™ πŸ’š ✨ πŸ€™
