It wasn't an airdrop. It's a split fork. Therefore, no one is "giving" anyone anything. I won't get too technical on that part, but given it was a 1 to 1 ratio for 1 SP = 1 HP I can concede that

The key point being they have to ask for Hivepower, not to ask for being part of the Hive blockchain. Their account exists on the chain and has the usual 3 Hive delegated to it so it can perform a few

You can use the community and tags on your posts or you can just use tags. Communities are a weird feature because it takes what reddit is and mashes it together with what twitter is(hashtags + subreddits).
