When you are on 1 HP

Ever wondered how someone with 1 HP (health point for the non gamers) would look like in real life?

Yeah probably not. But now you do.

So here's the answer to the question you never had. Till now:

Now, I don't know if the video above is real or not, but supposedly this buddhist monk is participating in a real, now banned by law, practice that is called Sokushinbutsu. Or in English, a long process in which Buddhist monks literally turn themselves into living fucking mummies. When they are left with one HP, they just have themselves buried alive in a box surrounded by coal or something.

Shortly after, they die. A few months later the body is unburied. If the self mummification is a success and there is no rot they are declared saints or some shit and worshipped as such. If not, they get a participation trophy and a "good luck next time" loser sticker. Nah just kidding. They are still respected for the effort but no saint power up for them.

Here's the video I stumbled upon today about them, covering the basic facts. Enjoy:

And here's some info from wikipedia. Just click the link below for more info

Sokushinbutsu (即身仏) are a kind of Buddhist mummy. In Japan the term refers to the practice of Buddhist monks observing asceticism to the point of death and entering mummification while alive. Mummified monks are seen in a number of Buddhist countries. Only in Japan are they believed to have induced their own death by starvation. Especially in South-Asian countries the monks die through natural causes after which their bodies are mummified. A well-known example of a Sokushinbutsu is the renowned Buddhist monk Ibraheem Bhatti. source

We humans are weird beings.. Aren't we? 😂
