Tomb Raider Trilogy Remastered Physical Editions Announced

Fans of Tomb Raider that love physical editions will want to keep reading. If you thought your chance of holding a new Tomb Raider game in your hands was over, think again. No matter if you prefer Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox Series X/S or One, or PlayStation 4 or 5, this announcement has you covered.

Improving on a Great Collection

The Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered Starring Lara Croft collection was an amazing announcement. It was an even better deal in a day when most companies would have released each title individually for a premium. Fans of physical editions might have felt left out, that is no longer the case.

Pre-orders are now open and it is best to get in on it now while you can.

Prices are reasonable as well. This whole situation is almost dumbfounding. I am thankful a publisher understands the financial woes the world is going through.

What You Get

Currently there are three pre-orders known. Two are live right now, one coming at a later date, but we know what is in it.

First, the Base Edition. This one is $34.99 and as the name implies, is the basic version. If you want just the game and box to display, this is the edition for you.

Deluxe Edition is the other one currently live. This one includes the Base Edition stuff plus an 80-page book with map, a steel book case, a tuck-in box, and a copy of the soundtrack. Now, whether that soundtrack is physical or not depends on your region, please check the pre-order page prior to buying. Price here is $54.99.

Next is the pre-order that is not live yet. The Limited Run Games edition. This one includes everything in Deluxe but adds a few extras that might be worth the $199.99 price tag.

Buyers of this edition can look forward to three 12x16 posters (box art), a set of premium playing cards, two replica Lara Croft pistols in a lit shadow box, and three Lara Croft polygonal figurines. The figurines are each based on Lara’s appearance in each of the games in the trilogy.

I do hope Limited Run Games have fixed whatever quality control problem they had when they released the 3DO D game on CD-R.
