That's right, the village has some strict rules including the rehabilitation of houses or even the color of paints used. These rules are designed to preserve the original village without further intervention.

This is what I felt when I visited one of the most beautiful villages (Rimetea) in Romania, it seems frozen in time, the locals are not allowed to rehabilitate the houses as they please, but the village

The place is absolutely fabulous, I wish I could get here but so far I haven't had the opportunity, initially I was thinking to go by car but there are many kilometers from western Romania to get there,
