To get the authentic Italian experience it's clear you'll have to do a lot of walking, I think exploring the sights on foot has its charms, unless it's very hot outside. When we visited Rome we were lucky

If you're used to crowds then you'll have a great time here and, yes, as you wrote, the surrounding architecture is also stunning. I easily got over the fact that to take a picture I have to wait even
