Spring is getting closer and preparations for gardening are gearing up. This year I decided to change the concept of my garden a little. Practice has shown that I do not cope with large flower beds. They require care and watering, but the problem is that I have sandy soil and no matter how much watering - it does not give the desired result. I decided to leave only those plants that have already taken root, and to plant the bulk of the flowers in vases in a small patio. This approach will help me to give them the best care.
And if we're already talking about planting flowers in vases, there's no point in waiting for the warmth to set in for sowing, but planting them now, ensuring early flowering. Many of the seeds have already sprouted. In addition I have ordered several new varieties of pelargoniums.
This year I decided to do the right thing by providing my flowers with nameplates. I had done this once before, but many of the nameplates were lost and it was time to remedy that. I make the name plates on small boards and burn the name of the flowers with an arrow burner. This ensures that the name will not rub off. However, it doesn't help if I mix up the plates 😂
By the way, my daughter gave me some great advice. It's always a problem for me to provide the right amount of plaque holders. Like this, she advised me to buy popsicle sticks! They are wooden and just the right size, that way you can have enough for all the flowers!
