Simply WoW haha it's surprising because it's the first time I've heard about a game where something isn't specific but it's too good when you discover the motivation of the game and it's Explore. It's a game of exploration and curiosity more than anything.
Maybe you didn't want the game to be anything like what you saw at the beginning, you unconsciously wanted more "that's why you came to the sword" is like the saying: he who seeks finds.
You wanted adventure and you got adventure, it is a very intelligent and interesting analogy on the part of the game developer, this helps encourage the curiosity to explore, to not want something Be what you saw at the beginning.
Maybe it is discouraging to start playing and see something so basic and a language that is not understood, but when you are the chosen one "like you" you are going to see what is more THERE.
