I seriously don't think any lawyer will be able to fix this mess - and the whole idea of involving lawyers and courts does not sit easy with most people in this community, "code is law". Perhaps

I do think it's morally wrong and totally unexpected that the exchanges should use tokens deposited by customers to support one side in a conflict, even without doing sufficient amounts of due research,

Fractional banking is not theft. The bank does not steal my money when I deposit them there. I know all I get from putting my money into the bank is an IOU-note. Watching a film on Popcorn-time is not

RE: The Facts
I wouldn't use the word "theft", this is more like "fractional banking". I think it's dishonest to use customer funds to support one side with votes in a conflict without the customers

RE: Witness vote proxying - is it still possible?
Yes ... nice to see steemworld still exists. I remember @steemchiller was complaining a bit the costs of keeping it online and in sync was too stiff.

Seems like the steemconnect URL I found at google started with some version number instead of "beta", and was discontinued ... so this can be done through steemconnect, just the link I found

Thanks - the form is at the bottom of the witness voting page at steemit.com. I was somehow suspecting it to be at the top of the page. I wonder if there is any possibility through steempeaks.com and the

RE: It's fine to celebrate Christmas even without being Christian
About the orthodox churches: Not all of them follow the Julian calendar. Bulgarian, Greek and Cypriot churches celebrate Christmas on the 25th, following the gregorian calendar. I didn't know. Fixed.

No, I haven't had any hands-on experience so far. I will update as soon as I get some. I don't think there were any excessive noise from the ThinkPenguin laptop, should eventually try to fix it (mechanical
