I'm a nut for Ethereum. I spend about a third of my time logging into Kraken or visiting the Poloniex website checking the current price of Ether, but recently I came up with a ridiculously simple way to avoid that. I simply created a new wallet on my Mist Ethereum Wallet and put a single Ether in there. I also changed the setting so the wallets shows me amounts in US Dollars.
Now, all I have to do is access Mist, and I can see the price. My one-ether account tells me the exact price in US dollars of an ether. I know it's not earth shattering, but it's simple and it works for me. Thought I would share.
