No, I did not read any of the other replies. I just saw you pinged me and asked me a question, so I provided my reply :)

What are your views on downvotes. More specifically, do you think casting a down vote as a witness on large quality content creators content that cross promotes to hive discourages growth by giving said

Some are more active than others. If you can talk to 1-2 they may be able to help you get in contact with others if they support the idea.

There are some interesting ideas. One thing to keep in mind is that coding is just part of the process. If you are developing code that requires a hardfork then there needs to be consensus among the top

I'm mostly lurking :) I keep up on the latest developments and have upgraded my node for hardfork 25. I have also been helping to support the @hbdstabilizer effort run by @smooth.

Yeah, that makes sense. I would prefer 2 as well. Someone would need to setup a proposal to fund it though, as well as do the work to handle the conversions. IMO, it is outside the scope of the current

I am not trying to be flippant. I just don't 100% agree with your viewpoint. Yes, if the price of HBD stays above $1.00 USD forever there will never be any (smart) HBD->HIVE conversions. But that is

RE: Upvote this post to fund @hbdstabilizer
Inflation is unaffected by the price of HBD other than the fact that people convert when SBD is <= $1.00 and they don't when it is above.

RE: Upvote this post to fund @hbdstabilizer
If the market price of HBD is over $1.00 USD, then anyone converting instead of selling would be loosing money.

We are being transparent in terms of the goals of our efforts and the way we are doing things. We cannot make predictions on the future price of either coin though.

RE: Why We Shouldn't Be Funding HBD Stabiliser - We've Got It The Wrong Way Round
The point you make about the tradeoff between high HIVE prices benefiting existing stakeholders vs. high HBD prices benefiting smaller users who want to use their HBD rewards to buy more HIVE is a good

Thanks. It is really hard to say how things would have / could have played out differently. There were a lot of moving parts, hehe. I still stand by my decision (even though it cost me a top witness spot).

I realize this is a controversial effort, and there are a large number of users who are against it. Everyone has the right to use their stake however they want though, and there are several large stakeholders
