I started just buying orbs then went to brilliant quest potion and now I do, a mix potion, then orb then save 2500 and rinse and repeat

before selling any cards you don't use just check their stats because sometimes at level 5 they become very valuable like boosting team damage or shield or health

assuming the mana cap is high enough to have a couple high damage range attackers. Also the problem is you have to survive their high damage snipe and sneak.

Yeah I just pulled a gold foil Lord A. so it helps a lot. with out reflect it sucks at in gold league

from gold 2 up its all magic and I hate fighting magic because I'm mele all the way.
