Is Steemit broken? That's the question on my mind these days. Every new form of blockchain has it's own unique set of challenges and being gamed is one of them. Bitcoin has the 51% attack. That's not really possible anymore since it would be so hard to acquire that much Hash power all at once and it would be so costly. Every coin out there exists to solve a problem. Sometimes that problem is that the creators of that coin are broke! Much of the time it's about privacy, human rights, taking back banking or offering it to those who don't have it.
But with Steemit what happens when every Belieber decides to upvote a post? What if PewDiePie tells his 46.2 MILLION subscribers to "like" a post on Steemit? I'm thinking millionaires are made! Or at least thousand-aires! :) But that's not really cheating is it? Do you think Steemit can be gamed? How would you do it?
