The American public was mortified to hear that former president George W. Bush thought that FEMA head Michael Brown was doing a “heck of a job” in handling Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, but the truth is that his job might not have been what we thought it was.
FEMA has been involved in botching disaster relief so many times that it feels as if that might actually be their true intention. When we examine the darker roots of how the agency was designed to be used back in the 80s, it might surprise people to learn what the government has planned as the solution to your emergency.
From REX-84 to Operation Tripod, the American government has been FEMA to run cover for their authoritarian desires for decades, and the Continuity of Government plan ends with outspoken members of the general public being put in American concentration camps.
