Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.
Try and get a few shots not just one
You can look for anything in generally or decide on one subject you want to get shots of.
Try to limit yourself to a set distance or time from the starting location, say 5 Blocks, 5 Minutes walk or whatever and see what you can find in that short distance
make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss
Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join it this week please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all.
I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules
For my Entry for the challenge for this week I will take you on a little walk through Peter Detmold Park in NY
This one of the entrances to the park at the bottom end of 49th Street
It's a lovely green pathway at this time of year with all the green on the trees and bushes , you can almost forget the busy FDR highway off to the right
This is the elevated walkway where I took the previous shot of the park., down to the right is a little dog park which II completely forgot to get shots of, but will on another visit there, at at the end of the walkway behind me there are some nice views across the East river which I will share in another post.
This is the other way to enter or leave the park, up these stairs to 51 Street, and this is the way I left the park on this walk
Unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.
