I love poppies and every year a few volunteers show up in the garden. Between the pond and the bird bath the birds have a ball bathing and drinking.

You can do it either way, I just cut them in half and leave two eyes on each potato piece. I don't know if it makes more, but it gives them more room to produce I believe.
