RE: Back in the New Herb Garden - September 13, 2025 @goldenoakfarm
I'm glad you are finally feeling good enough to be gardening. I'm pulling plants out and cutting back and you are still planting. I have to move all my herbs to a new location, not sure where, but my dogwood

You're welcome, I am doing everything I can to have a stocked pantry for my family. It does save time when you make large batches at once and the cleanup is easier too.

RE: Making HomemadeTomato Soup - by Sunscape
We both loved your tomato soup, and we will certainly enjoy it next time with toasted cheese too. Too bad your husband hated soup so much, it is favorite wintertime meal in this house, any soup will do!

RE: Canning Whole Tomatoes - September 9, 2025 @goldenoakfarm
Yay! You got some tomatoes done, that is always a big job. I have to dehydrate hot peppers too, but still have many on the plants to pick.

RE: Potato & Basil Harvest - It's Pesto Day - by Sunscape
The molds are perfect for saving the garlic and basil. Easy to add to recipes too. I tried to find them on Amazon for you, but I only see the smaller bite size. Perhaps at Michaels store if you have one

I can tell when the vegetables are finished as they start to turn yellow and stop fruiting. Soon it will be time to do most of them. Fall has arrived!

So true, homegrown potatoes have a fresh, earthy taste compared to those from the store. Have a great day.
