Yes, I have large cages for them while raising the caterpillars. Then they go into smaller cages to cocoon before hatching.

Soon the butterflies will leave along with the hummingbirds now that fall is fast approaching.

Thank you, Lizelle!

I have both varieties of Swallowtails visit my gardens during the summer months, along with the Monarchs I raise also.

Yup, I've been raising them from eggs for five years now. It is very satisfying seeing them hatch and fly for the first time. I post about them while caring for them all.

It sure is a beautiful butterfly. I have this variety and the yellow swallowtails too.

Thanks, Denisse!

Thank you kindly!

Oh my gosh, you have me laughing at the apocalyptic stash! Now, I have to go get some lentils from my stash and make that stew. lol Lovely photos of your trip down memory lane.

Congratulations on doing a fabulous job! I can only imagine how nervous you were, but you nailed it! Yay, you can breathe now! ♥

Wowza! That is a lot of plants to take care of on top of your own. All those tomatoes look awesome too. You are going to be busy processing them all. I have to pick more today, again! lol Feel better.

Your plants look very healthy and you should have a very nice harvest.

I do love being able to grow my own food and know that it is all organic too. Have a great week.

I can't believe the amount of food that I have already picked, it has been wild. Our red raspberries are doing their second flush too. Hubby said he saw the squirrels eating the lower ones. The chipmunk

Right? the garden is still producing so much and fall is fast approaching. Thank you for the visit.

I think I will love the rest from putting up so much food this past month. lol The garden is still going very strong too. Hope all is well.

Thank you so much Neil, I love all the entries. Congrats to everyone.

It was my pleasure to help as little as I could. I know how hard it can be to make ends meet. I too have had my share. 🥰

Tom got some great photos of the critters. I haven't seen a praying mantis in years, that was nice to see. The Artichoke in flower is really pretty too.

It is Labor Day weekend here now, the children go back to school this week as well. It is quickly feeling like fall now, but the gardens still look very good. Enjoy your spring weather, Joan.
