The new canning book is fine but I use my original one more. Old habits die hard.

Tepache is simple to make and will be done in a few days. I add it to my lemonade or plain water to drink it.

Dang weeds anyway! They are certainly persistent, aren't they? As if you didn't have enough to do, ;-) It sure looks better and I bet the perennials are happier. Good Job! ♥

You should try it the next time you have a pineapple. It is very tasty.

I found it in the new Ball canning and preserving book. Then oddly enough someone posted it on tiktok so I bought a fresh pineapple to give it a go. I love it! I never tried saving the top to plant it

I hope you take time to make it. I clean the outside of the pineapple well before slicing it up.

Ugh, tree trimming and thinning fruit trees are so hard to do. Thank goodness you have good helpers. That was a lot of peaches that you thinned out, sigh!

We also have had a lot of rain and the plants are still doing well. Although, they are growing fast because of it. It is helpful so I don't have to water them very often. ;-)

I so agree, I don't know how time seems to be moving so fast. I love Fushia too and have a lot of those flowers in the garden and baskets. They make me happy.

Mika is my little gardening companion and she thinks digging in the dirt and pulling weeds is the best play ever.

You got all the rain that we did too. You are right the plants have grown a ton this week. That sister rose is stunning. I would have to save some of her petals to make rose water. ;-)

The dehydrator has been very busy lately. I am trying hard to stay on top of the herbs and have already cut them all back hard. I will get another nice flush before summer's end.
