Yes, the mulch helps keep the soil moist from the heat and it also breaks down and supplies nutrients to the soil. Soon the gardens will be bursting with color. Thank you for commenting.

Hello my friend, yes the compost will really benefit the plants and we have been very busy spreading it all around the gardens.

What a great idea to keep the acorns at bay. That is a huge job but I am sure you are happy to have that done and out of the way. We are spreading mulch all week and boy oh boy can I feel it in my back.
