I have airstones and I will definitely add them, thanks for the info. I have not tried a tomato in hydro yet, but have done the wicking buckets. I prefer them in the ground since I have the space.

I too had many of my solar lights die by the end of summer. My husband tried his best to fix them but they did not last much longer. I will probably order new ones this spring.
