Hello to all lovers of murals! With great joy I join this weekly street art contest, since in my last expeditions, I have found relatively new and interesting art. So for my participation, I come to show you one of the projects that I came across while on an expedition through the western part of the city of Barquisimeto (Venezuela). It is spread out on a large wall located near the "Obelisco" monument, being the place a tourist site, the renovations have brought with it the decoration of walls that in the past were completely empty.

I think that the exposed mural represents the Venezuelan woman, this being a country inhabited by various ethnic groups that have formed our current traits. The woman, of any nationality, is a symbol of strength, love, beauty and struggle.

What I liked the most was the flower that rests in the hair of one of the women. This flower, called "orchid", is the national flower and usually grows on the bark of some trees, which demonstrates its spirit of survival. The artist of the mural made it with a kind of aluminum sheet (or I don't know what material ha ha) so that the flower protrudes from the wall. I have seen this technique in several projects and it is one of my favorites, it gives that three-dimensional effect.

In the area I also got other murals that I hope to show in a more extensive publication, since there are too many ha ha You are cordially invited to contemplate the works of these artists, I assure you that you will not regret it. ¡Hola a todos los amantes de los murales! Con mucha alegría vuelvo a unirme a éste concurso semanal de arte callejero, siendo que en mis últimas expediciones, me he hallado con arte relativamente nuevo e interesante. De modo que para mi participación, les vengo a mostrar uno de los proyectos que me encontré mientras realizaba una expedición por la zona Oeste de la ciudad de Barquisimeto (Venezuela). El mismo se encuentra extendido en un gran muro ubicado cerca del monumento "Obelisco", siendo el lugar un sitio turístico, las remodelaciones han traído consigo la decoración de muros que en el pasado, se hallaban completamente vacíos.

Pienso que el mural expuesto, representa a la mujer venezolana, siendo éste un país en donde habitan varias etnias que han formado nuestros rasgos actuales. La mujer, de cualquier nacionalidad, es un símbolo de fuerza, de amor, de belleza y de lucha.

Lo que más me gustó, fue la flor que reposa en el cabello de una de las mujeres. ésta flor, llamada "orquídea", es la flor nacional y suele crecer en la corteza de unos árboles, lo cual demuestra su espíritu de supervivencia. El artista del mural, la elaboró con una especie de lámina de aluminio (o no sé que material ja ja) de modo que la flor sobresale del muro. Esa técnica lo he visto en varios proyectos y es de mis favoritos, otorga ese efecto de tridimensionalidad.

Por la zona también conseguí otros murales que espero mostrar en una publicación más extensa, ya que son demasiados ja ja Están cordialmente invitados a contemplar los trabajos de estos artistas, les aseguro que no se arrepentirán.
