Buying items at tourist destinations is common among individuals. I have seen all the tourist places have a bigger market places that sell all sorts of things. These objects serve as tangible memory triggers, capturing the culture, experiences, and emotions of the trip. People usually show some interest in buying these products. Although those were readily available at their own place still they like to venture out at these unknown place to buy stuff. While I was in Amritsar, I found one such flourishing market.
The market is situated outside the Golden Temple complex and alwsys seem buzzing with visitors. Visitors like to buy things as a momento or souvenirs. Travelers often want to own authentic, locally made crafts, traditional clothing, or regional delicacies that they cannot find in their home countries. However these days with rspid market expansion all the items are easily available. When I was walking down the busy streets, I saw many fashionable ladies item. These were priced much over the real prices. Vendors and hawkers set up their stalls all over the roadside.
People in a relaxed or adventurous state of mind are generally more willing to spend money. The vendors were selling many common items. From decorative items to artificial jewelery to toys. It was all colorful and decked up nicely. I did not found any unique item, yet listening the prices surprises.
Seeing such a loot at the unknown place, I never buy things. I visit the places and enjoy the atmosphere but buying overpriced item does not sounds sensible to me. So i usually avoid them. This made me bad among the famiky member. As they never expect me to bring anything. But I alwsys prefer enjoying such places. Walking down such market, allownus to explore the business ideas that people bring on the table. I had a lovely walk, while walking down such buzzing street in Amritsar.
In good faith - Peace!!
