Midlife crisis, mental health challenges. Farther or two daughters and a rather fluffy dog. Photography (often forgetting the SD card!), motor sport, sim racing and food. Growing passion for history and tracing the family tree.

RE: Weekly Review: 25th October 2020 - Fresh Air Helps!

I love heading out exploring this time of year, I seem to get a bit of a kick out of autumn before the winter blues set in. I took my daughters to Lound Lakes nature reserve the other weekend. We didn't

RE: Got the PC back in action - temporary fix

I get the impression they'll be happy to replace it but of course you have to run through their standard script of stuff first. I could have lied but I learned a few things during the various tests. There

RE: Delving into my family history: Grandad's war stuff

I'm having fun trying to work things out. I have some names and pictures but little to link them all up.

RE: Another lovely Saturday

I think 2020 will go down as the year of mental crashes! I've not been mega sociable in years now but the lack of proper human interaction is becoming a challenge now.

I got wet walking the dog, wet taking the kids to school, wet taking the dog for another walk and wet picking the kids up. Character building!

My sister has a crazily accurate sense of pitch and seems to be a natural at hearing things and being able to play them. Well, she did but not so much these days. I don't recall her ever having lessons

I used to love running this time of year. Unfortunately I've just not managed to work it into my day at the moment. If I don't go out in the morning it tends to not happen and that's pretty difficult at

Love the colour of the Amethyst Deceiver. I want to decorate my study and I think it might work!

RE: Winter activity 1 - Delving into my family history

I wasn't thoughtful enough to really do much whilst people were around and now it's too late. Writing stuff down is a good idea; I've started doing that for the little I know and recall. Facts will have

RE: A colourful start to the day

Thanks Steve. I"m getting more confident with it now as I use it more and more. It's very different than the Canon cameras I usually use. The only time Lola will sit nicely is when I get the camera

RE: A colourful start to the day

Thank you! I really enjoyed messing about with these. It was pretty dark when I took them so they were very underexposed. Was lots of fun trying to bring them back to life.

Impressive if accurate! I’m struggling to read what I can find. The writing seems to get trickier the further back you go.

RE: Morning Run - Wetober

I saw lots of brave folk out yesterday and quite a few seemed to have numbers on them. I'm guessing they were taking part in the virtual marathon. I felt smug as I was in the car on my way to collect new

RE: My Actifit Report Card: October 4 2020

It has been bloody horrible here in recent days (probably weeks). I seem to spend much of my time drying off after getting stuck in a downpour. Always timed perfectly with the school run.

RE: Mushroom Monday - Lots of new stuff to see!

A proper mix of species! They're sprouting up all over the place at our local park. Not in itself that interesting, but you can see where they are going to form as the patches of grass are darker than
