Professional teams are professional teams and they have so many technicians, engineers and mechanics for every kind of a job when being on events.
They even have spies who watch at 'enemy' garages (boxes) which tires they will put on the cars, and how many spares will go in the booth. That's because every wheel is approx 15kg of weight and that counts if you want results at the top level.
Tire technicians check even rims and if they some the smallest damage, that rim won't be used anymore. Hyundai Motorsport youtube channel published interesting video about this so please take a look and leqrn about this things...
