I also think family members should help without waiting for her to ask.

And asking “How is the baby?” every day isn't the same as asking “How are you feeling?”

The baby obviously needs constant attention too, but the mother needs someone checking whether she's actually okay.

I think the father should also pay attention to her, especially during those first few weeks.

And recovery doesn't end immediately after delivery. Her body still needs time to heal.

I think the mother should be checked on the most. Everyone naturally focuses on the baby, but she just went through pregnancy and childbirth.

And then you start reacting to the new person for things they didn't even do.
