Existing Totem and Totem Fragments
Here is the current price of Totem.
The top was a few days ago, showing a price in the LOW $30. The bottom is the price as of April 10, 2023, for $35.
Before the land surveying went live, the common totem sold between $20-25 each. I remember being in a live stream, and someone joked about buying them ALL in the $20 dollar RANGE. If you "cornered" the market and purchased them at a lower price, you could have held and flipped them all in less than a month of holding the assets.
Today there are only a few at $35 for each common totem. I am sure you can buy them all and list ONLY one for $45 to set the new FLOOR price. This is how we set BUYER MINDS to let them know there isn't any more at $20, $25 or even $30. It helps the market adjust to the new reality that SUPPLY/DEMAND has adjusted to the new price.
Total QTY vs. Total Land
The key here is to understand the quantity available for the 150K plots of land. You can place 5 cards on any plot. There are millions of cards on the market. However, with TOTEM, there are less than 31K Totem for the SAME 150K PLOT of land. This means you don't need to buy the RARE, EPIC or LEGENDARY Totem. If you focus on the COMMON Totem and corner the supply, there will be fewer and fewer of them in the future.
A new supply of TOTEM is coming in Land V2.0+, but that might be 6+ months away. The time to take advantage of this is happening now.
Even if you don't believe the price will go up, I believe every landowner should have ONE TOTEM. Why? For $20, the PP boost might be cheaper than buying/UPGRADEING and card BCX. The BOOST is 10% of the Total of your LAND. So at some point, the Min/MAX move is to use a SINGLE COMMON TOTEM for the 10% of your 20K PP on your plot and reap the 2000 bonus for a mere $30. This makes more sense as your Land has RUNI or GF cards. Your land PP might be 50K or 100K in value. So the $30 Common Totem make it one of the best deal for an EXTRA PP boost.
No CoolDown.
One big benefit is Totems don't cool down. You can move it from one land plot to the next. So you might have it on your OCCUPIED land, and your GRAIN supplies are running low. You can move the TOTEM from SPS Mining to GRAIN in seconds. This means you don't need to CHANGE the "TASK" of the workers, which has a 24-hour COOLDown. This makes resource management much easier when you have a PP boost that can change what RESOURCE you need without wanting 24 hours of cool down from the WORKERS.
What about Titles?
Totems and Titles are different. In the short term, I think totems are where the easy money is at. The lower cost to buy/sell makes it a good deal. Most players can SELL other assets and get $30 or $40 to purchase the Totem. This means there is a LARGE pool of buyers.
Titles are very different. They cost more money, and their bonuses are not as generous. I don't see Titles as the short-term play. However, TITLES have one big advantage. There are so few of them that I think this is a different play. This is not a short-term FLIP but for the serious land owner that can benefit from the PP Boost.
EARLY because we are NOT in resource production yet?
This is true. Some of these items do not BOOST PP until Resource Production happens. However, there are many COMMON PLOT with Building in a Box. They will be ready to start with the resource production. Based on the whitepaper, GRAIN, SPS Mining, and Research of The Secret will be available soon. All other resources are not. Therefore PP boost is just right around the corner.
