RE: Single token, simplification?!
creating utility and liquidity for STEEM would be much more valuable than SBD imho That was a reasonable view 3-4 years ago, but the market has moved on from that to more of a focus on stable coins, and

but SBD is debt. DAI is literally debt! What do you think the "D" in CDP stands for? You lock up ETH and are lent (i.e. debt) DAI as long as you leave the ETH locked up. In order to repay the

There is no reason, necessarily, that DAI would be worth more than 1$ just because ETH drops. In fact it may be worth less than $1 not only because of supply and demand factors but because of the increased

So I'm not sure if the voting meets your quality standards. The tail it votes is huge, so there will naturally be stuff in between where not everyone agrees. I'm not sure that it doesn't. I certainly don't

I thing this can be kill Steem in a unlucky ( middrange) Bullrun. I don't see that at all. In a bull run, inflation is actually reduced by the presence of SBD. The tougher situation is in a bear market.

What puzzles me is the reasoning that users choose #2 because of that. Clearly the choice should be #1, or not? Well #1 has to exist (which requires creativity and initiative on the part of the posters,

I don't agree that reducing inflation benefits investors really. It is neutral. There are basically three classes of usage rewards/inflation can be allocated to: Positive (spending $1 results in >$1

Maybe so, but realistically it would likely be years (at a bare minimum a year) before that sort of code change is made on Steem given current development processes, resources, and roadmap. Meanwhile,
