Limited supply only matters when and if there is a demand There is some demand otherwise the price would be zero (given the reality of some new supply being created and sold which needs to find a buyer).

I looked here and it says 10656 GRCs, which would be generated by 10K SP over 5 days right? I'm sure it does vary though, as indicated by the chart there (10k looks close to a rough average)

What the hell are you talking about? No top witnesses are lying about the Steem/USD rates as far as I know, and I would know. (Backup witness feed values don't really matter.)

High volatility means ridiculous cognitive load (who the hell wants to adjust their subscription amounts every month, and for creators it means adjusting requested sponsorship levels for status or benefits)

Reduced inflation, less selling pressure on STEEM, and increased difficulty/competition for rewards especially self rewarding and group rewarding. Another aspect is helping the SBD peg when SBD is overvalued
