RE: SBD Potato Day 25: Golden Brown, Baked and Buttered!
Claim account cost (currently around 9000G RC) can be seen here: 1 SP gets you 1G RC in 5 days.

Conversions in progress can be searched here: Can also see the total on the steemitwallet page. 207.511 STEEM sent for market swap to @bank.sbd but not yet received SBD back Looks like their bot crashed

RE: SBD Potato Day 22: Getting Fancy with the Taters!
Good point about the vote. I think the fee is 1.5% though, and probably calculated on the whole amount, which makes it 3% on the powered up portion (since you would get the liquid portion immediately anyway).

RE: SBD Potato Day 22: Getting Fancy with the Taters!
I agree on the point of not using likwid going forward (or maybe once the pool reaches some threshold, say 1000 SBD). It was good to jump start the pool faster, but longer term it is mostly just an added

RE: SBD Potato Day 18: Potatoes - the Fastest Food on the Planet!
Well, no, not NOW as in right this minute, but something should be decided before the fund gets too large IMO, at which point it could become a very contentious "hot potato". A simple solution

RE: RC's....A miracle and a burden...all at the same time.
But RC delegation will be implemented in 4? 5? 6 months maybe? It is part of the SMT update which is currently in testing. There is no specific release date yet.

RE: SPS and blockchain events
I'm not seeing how this doesn't bring people in? People attending blockchain conferences seem like a receptive audience to me, potentially as end users, as investors, and as developers. Most don't know

RE: 3Speak Videos Funding STEEM DAO!
Steem DAO is a the built-in system within Steem to fund proposals. Any beneficiaries or transfers to @steem.dao add to the available budget for such proposals.

RE: 3Speak Videos Funding STEEM DAO!
Looks like Dan is sending some of his beneficiaries to @sbdpotato as well: So that may help offset the SBD supply increase (especially since @sbdpotato uses the rewards to reduce SBD supply repeatedly,

RE: 3Speak Videos Funding STEEM DAO!
More existing SBD means each of them backed by less STEEM. Even if the SBD isn't being paid out they still affect market price. That is a good point, although the magnitude is unclear. I would say that

RE: SBD Potato Day 18: Potatoes - the Fastest Food on the Planet!
This is great for helping the SBD peg but I do have some concern about the fund getting too large as long as the disposition is undefined. I'd like to see some effort put into defining it so we know what

RE: 3Speak Videos Funding STEEM DAO!
Personally I support @sbdpotato but I would be reluctant to load a lot more rewards on there until there is clarity about what will happen to the fund if and when the SBD peg is restored. As far as printing

Probably due to the STEEM price changing, or a bug in the API he's using, or both.

Yes any conversions will follow the haircut. Part of the reason for making this a community effort supported by votes and reward pool funds is so no individual has to risk their own funds on what might

RE: Steem experiment: Burn post #456
Correct, although not quite complete. The reason the burnpost rules are a little more complicated is the procedure is different when SBD is worth more than $1 (USD). In order to help the peg, the SBD rewards

The appraisal system is nowhere near ready in terms of analysis of game theory and incentives, much less coding, but as you say it could be considered for a future fork. If it can be made to work soundly

I could see how it might appear that way from a certain perspective, but I really can't agree. Stakeholders are entitled to vote for witnesses who support policies the stakeholder also supports.
