RE: Amazon has turned off their green solar roof arrays due to fires!
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! I work to not sound too 'engineerzy' on the explanations. I'm Piecing together a solar and wind off grid system for my homestead, so I'm studying things hard. Sometimes the

All the more reason to avoid them totally! But I can't agree that they should insert themselves into a cash transaction between myself and my sister...none of their damn business. Public schools have failed

I originally signed in to discuss actual gemstones, which are a hobby of mine. I have left this active to allow me to counter vote All downvotes, as an objection to censor! I don't plan to post any more

Covid is a political tool, but that's fitting because most politicians are tools too! I intend to manage in spite of the mess they make of things. Someone has to rebuild.... The only good thing that will

Practice feeds competence, so you have a great idea! Concocting a home made tool, is closer to real life than anything else. Excellent practice. ๐๐ค ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฅฆ๐๐ค๐ณ

I'll never be ready, but I'm getting close enough to make a good try for it! I picked up another building today for a good price. Running low on storage space, this should รงover it well. ๐๐ค ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฅฆ๐โก

I'm planning on a network of ham radios to maintain communications after the SHTF arrives. Several of the family homesteads are 5 miles as the crow flies (25 by water ๐); with one about 30 miles, so easy

Everyone preps at a different rate, so you're doing fine! Just keep working at it, you'll get there.... ๐๐ค ๐๐๐ฅต๐ฟ๐ฅฆ๐ต๐ธ

The only thing I do differently is my file for an axe has a brass ring ahead of the handle. If I slip, it acts like a guard! It also means that my sharpening file doesn't get used elsewhere. Liked your

Sharp cutting tools are important! I hope he appreciates the work you have done. Some people don't like to sharpen things, so I hope he learns. Dull tools are dangerous. ๐๐ค ๐๐ธ๐ฅฆ๐ฟ๐๐

I prefer the circular motion for heavy removal, and straight moves towards the cutting edge for the final sharpening. I have used sandstones locally, but I usually carry a file and a diamond stone; so

Sadly it's true, hyperinflation is here; so get what's possible, and we'll have to make the rest! Trading fiat currency for hard assets is wise right now, while there is still some value there! We are

Frozen milk is okay, but will need to be shaken before use, as it separates. I've avoided freezing for long term storage just in case power becomes rare! ๐๐๐๐ค โก

Yes, I plan to use aquaponics for my food. Planning 4 parallel systems in a wallipini greenhouse. I also have a 50 gallon tank for a test system in the house possibly. ๐๐๐๐๐๐ก๐ฟ๐ฅฆ

No problem, it's a 12 volt system that will work with a deep cycle boat battery. It will charge at about 8 amps, and you should be able to add an inverter for AC power. ๐๐ค๐ธ๐ค ๐๐ต
