Today is what we call here, Remembrance Day, a day of honoring those who fought in war, so that we may enjoy what we call freedom, and take for granted so often. The war had been called the War to end all Wars, and sadly, we know how that has turned out. Young, brave men and women still fight in senseless wars, some not even knowing why they are there in the first place, and often come home in coffins.
As I sit here writing, my mood has become worse than it was, some fool had decided to steal someones vehicle, and left it in the parking lot of our building. The tow truck driver was either very new at his job, or just didn't give a dayum about what he was doing, because he took an overly long time, and was very noisy at what he was doing. My wife and I had been watching an old John Wayne pic, "North to Alaska" while this was going on, and the noise was actually drowning the TV out.
So along with the somber mood of this day, I am having a severe psoriasis attack,on my hands, which has been ongoing for several days, and the cremes and ointments I have are doing nothing for relief, just making a bad
situation worse, by making my hands oily and slimy. I've been waiting for 2 months to see a specialist, to see if I may qualify for injections which seem to have great results on treating this condition. Not only is it very irritating, but unsightly as well, and is a constant embarrassment.
The one thing I am looking forward to is the pork roast my wife is making for this evenings meal, she's a great cook, although I've been known to tease her about her cooking skills, I'm just glad she knows it is in jest, or I'd be in trouble.
So on this somber day, I wish you all well, and hope your day is going better than mine is.
