I took a visit to a local park that features lilacs and tulips this morning.
Turns out the heat is starting to wilt them a bit but most of them are still quite nice looking.
This batch is nice and orange and yellow. I wish I would have taken pictures of their labels. I suspect these are red and yellow perennial tulips.
I think these tulips are called queen of the night, a really nice dark purple color.
I'm not sure of these ones at all, perhaps red and yellow kills a fellow? J/k :-) the morning light hit them just right in the shot.
Here some of the orange tulips wilted but the red ones survived. The red ones kind of look like red impressions. There are so many varieties of Darwin hybrid tulips out there.
Here is a bubble gum banana mix of tulips. I wonder if these things can cross pollinate and create a pink and yellow mix.
I vaguely remember this group being called a punchbowl mix. Perhaps its a cherry lemonade mix.
Here is another mix that seems to have the red and yellows and the queen of the nights together with some dark reds that have wilted.
Now just a patch of the yellow and red ones.
Another mixed patch of pink, white and purple tulips. These ones were out in the open and got a bit more wilted than the rest.
The white and magenta ones kind of remind me of a "hot pants" tulip blend. I'm not sure what the other color blends might be...
This batch was hit with a sunray from under the shade of a large oak tree. Thus these were more preserved and not scorched like many of the others.
