I come back about once a year at this point. Last year I got bored and enthused briefly again and tried to build a thing or two here again.
There was no one here to see it.
If you persevere for no one, then you need to be doing it for yourself for whatever reason, because the literal user counts do not support doing it for any other reason anymore.
Crypto in general is through the floor. Its not 2016 anymore. It's the age of AI and if there is any value left in this chain at all and from the numbers, there is not much, not even for the children's card games anymore, all just faded glory now.
I suspect building here is just waiting for some nerd with a Kimi K3 swarm to come automate the last tokens out of the last corners and burn the value to the ground.
I respect your take Meno, its very well intentioned, but its probably misguided to keep putting effort into beating a dead horse. There simply are no living horses really even left here. Throwing good money after bad - or in this case, time and effort into a black hole is probably an exercise in futility. Even the big famous chains are dying. Why would the weeds outlast the roses if the entire garden is dying, or at least in a seasonal drought? The roses will be cared for, but the weeds will be pulled, and hive has always been just a tiny little weed in the garden of 10,000 cryptos with more market cap and more public global interest, better utility or transaction speeds and costs or not.
Every 6 or 8 months when I drop back by to see if its changed, its even more empty, the same dozen people posting the same tired things...
There used to be people to blame for the state of things here and now even those people are gone. At this point, its just decaying like a log on the ground in the woods, still there, still barely a log, but it will never grow into a tree again, and only a few friend groups (a nice thing!) and nostalgia (a value-less thing in chain terms) are holding any of this together anymore.
I've always dropped real talk here when I comment or post, and a lot of dreamers don't like reality very much.
But step back, clear your head of this place, and then look back in? And you will see that reality very clearly. It's ... reality, after all.
