Congrats to everyone who won something cool lately! I got a GF Astral bastard, too!
There are a few things I wanted to touch on, in no particular order, but before that I'm gonna skip to the discussion you guys were having toward the end about rulesets and how 3 at a time might be a bit much in lower leagues. I totally agree, but I didn't think one moved into single rule changes until silver so I presumed triple sets were for higher leagues by default. Having said that, I think we could go more complex, but making champion league play dual summoners and twice as many monsters. It would at least be a badass tournament format. In fact, I wonder if anyone is considering new methods of play that would allow us to use multiple summoners and monsters to build out bigger longer battles. Kind of like ranked play but on ongoing battle over an entire season you can switch x number of cards out per day.
Wtf? I didn't sit down to write that. Haven't even really thought about it yet. It's probably dumb. Nevermind that part.
Oh, I remember a thing I was gonna say regarding the Shin Lo you were talking about. You can probably get a lot more out of it in the next bull.
Also, fist bump to @mattclarke for his insight on Possibilius. I got a reg foil in a reward chest and paid $11 each to max it out within a day of two for the same reasons alluded to. At the time of writing it's worth over $175, but I wouldn't sell it for twice that.
I'm getting a lot of use out of beta cards I never really got any use out of before, even back when that was all there were. Frozen soldier and Naga Warrior spring to mind. Both are pretty bad ass in the right circumstances but Possibilius makes them shine especially in low'ish mana matches that tend to draw out all the 3 mana sneak attackers. Naga can hold the back line pretty well. Case in point regarding FS...

He's also brought new life to back to basics matches for me. Lol, broken armor.

I had a match recently that was a spot on description of the FS/NW combo but it's buried too deep in my battle chain to dig out.
Land upgrades! Matt pointed out something I started thinking of a long time ago, which is whether or not I'd have the resources to maximize all my land out of the gate or if I would have to rent some of it out to earn upgrades for my premium stuff. I imagine it'll be the latter and it'll take me years to finally get everything producing at max output.
Also, regarding the plots of land you claimed next to a port... that seems like it would be a premium piece of land, but it also seems like it might come with extra expenses to ensure the region has a state of the art port. That's kind of a sore point I have for the game. I never know how deep I'm getting in and how long it will take to sort my way through it when things start coming together and I can start sorting it out. I thought land would be a revenue stream by now... either from selling minted resources or using them to FINALLY GET THE FUCK OUT OF DIAMOND AGAIN... but, nope on both counts for like 5 more years or whatever.
Arenas! I do like the idea of ranked battles having a particular locations, but @giotrix mentioned clans, which isn't a thing yet, but should be and they should come with villages and shops where we can make food that gives us a bonus for a day, like +1 to mana cap or health or whatever. That's-a good-a !PIZZA... and a pie I'd like to have a finger in 😜
Soul bound reward cards... I'd hate them if it wasn't for the fact that we can get multiples in a single chest and potions apply. The first one I got came with enough copies in a single chest to level it up to level 2, so I think I won't mind having to play to get them. I just don't want another situation like gladiators that count on luck to be able to significantly progress the cards I like. I'd appreciate a function that lets us trade gladiators with equal burn value or something that lets me actually build my collection instead of just store whatever falls into it...
I can't remember what else I wanted to touch on, but If I do while re-watching I'll amend or start anew. Talk to you guys later!
