Yeah, that's what I meant. Farmville definitely had a demographic I think dCrops can fill, but compared to something like Hearthstone Farmville was small potatoes. Kinda the same, except I think dCrops has an enough advantage because of web3 to draw people that wouldn't normally be into Farmville, but love Hearthstone. I never played Farmville. I hadn't planned on playing dCrops. I was just gonna hodl alpha packs until I they +10x'd and sell, but I'm a gamer at heart and wanted to check it out and ended up getting into it a little, and likely more so as it progresses.
So now you have a demographic that is looking for this kind of game and a new demographic of people who dabble with it because of earning potential. I think any well put together web3 game will be relatively successful for the next few years. Once the market gets hungry for them communities will form around them and grow loyalty to the brand.
I imagine there will be far better looking card games than Splinterlands in the next decade, but Splinterlands fans and especially the whales aren't going anywhere. We will likely be into those, too, but Splinterlands is really just getting geared up. Same with dCrops in that regard, I think. Still a long way to go.
