2026 marks 250 years of American independence. It's our semiquincentennial! Coins minted this year carry extra historical weight for stackers, collectors, and investors. It makes a solid keepsake from a milestone year.
The 2026 release also marks 40 years of the American Gold Eagle series. It’s been the go‑to gold bullion coin since it launched in 1986. With both anniversaries happening at once, this year’s coin gets a nice boost in collectible appeal. It’s basically four decades of solid design and U.S. Mint craftsmanship.
