Hola amigos de Hive y de Splinterlands. El día de hoy les regalo una pequeña ilustración de Fungus Flinger para el Social Media Challenge de esta semana, pues qué mejor idea que generar fanart y contenido nuevo de los personajes del juego para divulgar.

A continuación les mostraré el paso a paso de este curioso personaje.

Hello friends of Hive and Splinterlands. Today I give you a small illustration of Fungus Flinger for this week's Social Media Challenge, because what better idea than to generate fanart and new content of the game's characters to spread.

Proceso 🌱 Process

Sketch

Empecé descomponiendo las formas base del personaje, más que todo generado por círculos y curvas, y sobre esto empecé a hacer los pequeños detalles caracteristicos de la carta como las setas sobre su cabeza y su cuerpo aparentemente viscoso. Utilicé lapiz 2H para bocetear el dibujo.

I started by breaking down the base shapes of the character, mostly generated by circles and curves, and on this I started to make the small characteristic details of the letter like the mushrooms on his head and his seemingly slimy body. I used 2H pencil to sketch the drawing.

Lineart

Para resaltar un poco el dibujo antes de colorearlo, lo repasé con un lapiz más oscuro (B). Quería aplicarle tinta pero ahorita no disponía de ningún material acorde a lo que quería lograr y al tamaño del dibujo, y me dió algo de miedo dañar el resultado que obtuve.

To highlight the drawing a little before coloring it, I went over it with a darker pencil (B). I wanted to apply ink but now I didn't have any material according to what I wanted to achieve and the size of the drawing, and I was a little afraid of damaging the result I got.

Coloring

Empecé aplicando un color naranja en acuarela como base, luego rojo para las setas y los ojos del personaje.

I started by applying an orange color in watercolor as a base, and then red for the mushrooms and the character's eyes.

Con el mismo color rojo afrefué detalles a la piel del personaje, y sombreé posteriormente un poco con acuarela violeta.

With the same red color I refined the details of the character's skin, and then shaded a little with violet watercolor.

Luego de las acuarelas, apliqué color con lapices de crayon. Con tono rojo di más dimension a los hongos, luego le di más vida al cuerpo del personaje con tonos rosa, y con morado apliqué sombras más definidas al personaje, así como le di más volumen.

After the watercolors, I applied color with crayon pencils. With red tone I gave more dimension to the mushrooms, then I gave more life to the body of the character with pink tones, and with purple I applied more defined shadows to the character, as well as gave him more volume.
