A greater blue ringed octopus (Hapalochlaena lunulata) flashing its remarkable bright blue colors. This tiny creature is one of the world's most venomous animals. If provoked or stepped on, it will bite. Blue-ringed octopus venom is produced by bacteria in the mouth of the octopod.
