Hi @gabe.radke. Ok so there are a few things to consider about the whole elephant tourism thing. Legality aside it's more about ethical individual choices. Doing anything to support the animal tourism

My BF and I visited Aceh some years ago but we didnt go to that place. I am a tsunami survivor from Phuket so Aceh will always have a place in my heart.

I love wooden homes. Traditionally in Thailand we built wooden homes but those days are long gone now. Very lovely article and wonderful photos.
