I, too, am glad social media didn't exist when I was growing up. I opened a FB account around 2009 and had fun reconnecting with former classmates and keeping in touch with distant family members. After

That was a worthwhile discovery! A very photogenic spot.

There's so much to love about this story, including your choice of words and phrases. I certainly hope that dude wasn't planning to leave that pile right there in your driveway!

I was sad when my 1980s calculator finally died.

Nice to know you are entirely human! LOL! I'm sure you learned valuable lessons from those two rather embarrassing situations.

Truly a whirlwind trip, in at least two senses of the phrase! Apparently you got back to Idaho before the big snowstorm on Snoqualmie Pass, or last night's crazy, tree-downing windstorm. Yeah, we've had

Good to know!

I recently discovered I gained 5# over the winter, so I may have to grit my teeth and put myself on a weight loss diet! But I dunno about the tofu....or the sardines... HA HA!

I'm glad to hear progress was made!

I have only eaten tofu once or twice, and was not impressed. Did your method of preparing it produce tasty results? My husband likes sardines; I do not. I consider you a brave soul to eat that many of

I've been wanting to try out the Chalet sometime. Do you recommend it?

You did an excellent job of putting that conundrum into words. And I have no answers. Twenty years ago I worked at a theme park during the summer. I was fifty-ish, while most of my co-workers were teens.

Last summer I stopped by the house I grew up in, back in the '60s. It is now occupied by the son of the people who bought it from my parents. He's just a few years younger than I am. He was in the process

Good to know!

I like that approach!

What a great story about your first job! It sounds as if you had some good learning experiences there, besides some fun times.

Glad to see you back on Hive! I know how busy life can get; I often don't post for a few weeks. The food looks delicious, and it's so nice your parents could come and help with the painting project.

At this point, I am embarrassed to be an American. I hope the world realizes not all Americans are as crazy as Mr.Trump. Even the polls show more of us disapprove than approve of his current nonsense.
