Hmmmm. I know somebody who operates much like you do! I didn't know there was an official label for it.

I refuse to use glyphosate in my garden, so that's not an option. But I just found another article online that suggests cutting it off (repeatedly) at the ground. That's supposed to eventually discourage

I used to have many more iris than I do now, in many different colors, thanks to a generous neighbor who had an amazing perennial garden. But it got to be too much for me to keep weeded, so I dug them

I don't recall trying the hot water trick. However, I just looked up an article online about bindweed, and than one recommended cutting it off at the ground. Repeatedly, until it gives up. I will have

Very nice!

Bindweed has roots that can grow several feet long. So it's almost impossible to get them all out. And it will re-grow from root segments. I just looked up an article on it, and it suggests cutting it

I just realized I haven't seen a post from you for a while. I hope all is well with you and your family. I hadn't heard this song before. You performed it well.

I really need to pay more attention to these weekly challenges! I enjoyed reading the posts, and I have voted.

I do hope you find a way to slow down and enjoy life!

How interesting to read your post, written from the perspective of a professional musician. I can see why you have to follow through with performances, even if other things have come up that seem important

Your job sounds very complicated, but you seem to have a good system worked out for dealing with many situations that arise.

I think it's good that you are learning to limit the amount of time you spend on your projects, especially since you were getting stressed out. Even doing things we enjoy can take a toll on our mind and

I have sometimes done what you just described so well. I am most likely to question conversations after they are over if I was too tired at the time, or if too many other conversations were swirling around

Wow, your garden is huge! And it's way ahead of ours. Your climate must be warmer, and perhaps you also have a nice greenhouse. Is that an orchard in the background of some of the photos? It looks great!

Interesting! I guess those dialects come from many places.

I don't have as many flowers as you have. Just the lilacs, columbines, and a bleeding heart. Later there should be Siberian iris and some lilies. Just yesterday I learned why the bearded iris hasn't bloomed

P.S. And I like the eggshells idea! I'll need to start saving them next winter.

I am getting desperate to get rid of the bindweed. However, it is so well-established by now, I suspect that's a hopeless cause. I was hoping the cover crop of clover would deter the bindweed, but it just

That was a very well-written story. And what a twist, to have the father still alive after all. Briefly.

Your columbines look a little different from mine. Perhaps more than one variety exists, and I didn't know it. Mine are blooming now, too. Shortly after I read your post, I ran across this in a gardening
