I guess the answer to all of it is Product Placement, the Jurassic World movies have been full of it. I bet the stupidity of the Snickers scenario and scene was done on purpose so people would talk about

I went to see it yesterday and had the same experience. Incredible how dumb this movie is from so many angles but I enjoyed it for what it was and it gave me exactly what I needed at the time.

I would say if you didn't like it by episode 3 it might just not be something for you. I would say give Alice In Borderland a try but if Squid Game is not for you this likely also won't be.
