There are 2 types of dust votes: 🤓
- individual dust votes where every vote gets a tiny deduction, to the point that a vote may become zero
- collective dust votes where all votes on a post or comment aren't paid out when the total votes at post payout time are less than $0.02
The first type of dust vote has been removed since the 26th Hive Hard Fork (to give smaller curators more worth for their vote), but the second one hasn't been removed. 😏
