How are steem rewards calculated when the price of steem is less than $2?

I have a pretty good understanding of reward system when the steem price is above $2 but i am not sure how it works when the price is below $2 like these days. now we also get steem in rewards but i dont see any whitepaper or post with exact calcultions. can anyone point me to the documentation or whitepaper where it is mentioned clearly.
Note : I am only asking about reward calculations when price is less than $2
