Hello everyone! How are you all doing? I hope well.
Hey, guys do you know sometimes I think ‘love’ is a really beautiful thing at the same time it is dangerous? When I talk about ‘love’, I am not talking about just some romantic love, I am talking about all kinds of love like the affectionate love, self-love, the unconditional love that our parent gives, etc. All those kinds of love. I feel love is the thing that makes our world a beautiful place but nowadays people are so busy handling their world of stress that they end up cold in other words numb.
The stress of being perfect, the stress of becoming financially stable or high, the stress of not drowning in your own darkness, the stress of not being that easy to be taken advantage and so on. By the end of the day, we become numb but a little love changes everything. Think about it. For example, if you fail to do something, maybe a task or project or something, and you are depressed then you receive a little encouragement from your loved one that changes the whole image for you. You take that failure as a lesson to learn and get to do something better out of it.
We all show our love in many ways like through kindness, encouragement, compliments, empathy, and many other ways. And so today, I decided to illustrate one part of the way of showing love which is kindness in chibi style. When it comes to kindness it doesn’t have any discrimination. Kindness can be shown to everyone. So I decided to draw a human and a dragon. I did an illustration where the maid gave some cookies to the hungry dragon despite the differences to represent an image of kindness. I don’t know if I was able to express it well in this image. Anyways that’s the end of my long blabbering. I hope you guys enjoy the process of the illustration below.
Step by step I fill in the colors along with the shades after giving a proper outline.
Now, I dress up the dragon and try filling in some homey look.
After the pattern of the dress, it is her appearance. She needs to look hungry and here it is. Here in this layer, I have also spilled some chocolate batter on the maid's dress. I feel she would look complete this way. The cookies plate is also overloaded.
Now, let me do the make-over of the maid in minutes. It did take some time to give the shades in her hair but it was fine. It took much time while do the shades of the dragon's hair but it was fun. I like giving the tiny details.
Does the picture look complete? I am not sure. Now, the background, what should I give there?
Okay, here I changed its location to look good? I don’t know but I moved them. Does it look any better? Something is still missing and I do not know what.
So, while trying to figure it out I added some shadow. And, here is the last part.
I tried adding some extras in the illustration to make it look complete like they do in the mangas. I feel it is complete now.
