RE: checking out the iron ore docks
I think that is what it was called? Lots of iron ore boats of the Great Lakes...highly photographic...it's too bad I couldn't get some foggy b\w shots of it!

RE: a view at sand point marsh
Well for a fun one that we love, I always recommend the Badlands...there is something so unique about that area. If we ever get a camper van, that is our spot to visit!

Yeah I kind of like this Tamron lens - my friend recommended it to me add to the "kit" a few months ago.

I like that second one a lot...it immediately reminded me of a Ingmar Bergman film!

haha...the camera owns them...that I believe. And to be honest, I'd rather put that kind of money into Bitcoin or Hive, lol

RE: Simplifying My Hobby
I mean, I guess I should want a Leica or Hassleblad canera from all the YouTube content I typically watch, but I feel like it's more about the experience. Plus I feel like my simple set up can compete

RE: Wednesday Walking With No Filter Required
haha, I'm by no means an expert and editing seems overywhelming at times, but I would love for every photo to perfect from the camera ... especially with colors like I'm able to get at times at this place.

Hopefully more photos to come - this new lens is pretty slick with a whole bunch of perspectives I'm not used to

YouTube channel? Hiking to some far off cloud heaven, only to set up a cheapie tripod and my cellphone to take landscapes? I feel I'm on to something...

That's pretty funny...whatever they can do to make a buck. I always appreciate the British accent being used to put an "intelligent/fancy" spin on things too. Marketing people really should get

RE: Photographing a Red Tailed Hawk in the Driftless Region
Usually when I try to get close to a heron or bald eagle with the Pixel, they take off...this guy wasn't bothered me whatsoever and just stared at me. I guess I know who was in control that morning, lol
