Letras Inspiradoras: Mi Nano un sanador y guardian [ESP/ENG]

Están invitados todos aquellos que tienen un animalito muy especial en sus vidas.

They know how much I love pets, and even though I don't have my computer with my entire photo archive, I'm going to try to complete the assignment. Everyone who has a very special pet in their life is invited.

Me encanta hablar de Nano este pequeño pincher era todo corazón y coraje, llego a mi vida cuando más lo necesitaba afrontando una separación y divorcio, el me ayudo a salir a la calle, a caminar por el parque y a sanar el cuerpo y el alma. Desde pequeña siempre tuve mascotas desde perros, gatos, ratones blancos, loros y a todos los cuidaba. Bueno lo que pueda decirse que una niña cuidaba, creo que eran mis juguetes, con los que mayor tiempo jugaba. Aprendí a quererlos mucho y cada vez que uno moría me ponía muy triste.

I love talking about Nano. This little pinscher was all heart and courage. He came into my life when I needed him most, during a separation and divorce. He helped me go outside, walk in the park, and heal my body and soul. Since I was little, I've always had pets: dogs, cats, white mice, parrots, and I took care of them all. Well, as much as you'd call taking care of a child, I think they were my toys, the ones I spent most of my time playing with. I learned to love them very much, and every time one died, I was very sad.

Cuando lo lleve al veterinario su primera semana porque no quería comer y vomitaba la leche, mis hijos me decían ya lo enfermaste, mataste al perro. Me lo habían dado lleno de pulgas y eso lo enfermo. Le dije al veterinario que se llamaba Arnold Schwarzenegger como el actor que me encanta y lo escribió en su tarjeta. El nombre era muy largo para grabarlo en su placa identificadora así que lo acorte a Nano.

When I took him to the vet his first week because he wouldn't eat and was vomiting his milk, my kids kept saying, "You've made him sick, you've killed the dog." They'd given him to me covered in fleas, and that's what made him sick. I told the vet his name was Arnold Schwarzenegger, like the actor I love, and he wrote it down on his ID card. The name was too long to engrave on his tag, so I shortened it to Nano.

Nano tenía cualidades como ser muy independiente, se creía el más grande de la cuadra no le tenía miedo a ninguno de los otros perros, yo no sé de que tamaño se creía él. Gracias a él comencé a caminar en un parque cercano recorríamos grandes distancias parecía no cansarse nunca. La verdad es que se convirtió en mi perro sanador con su personalidad y nos cuidábamos mutuamente. Sin saberlo estábamos aprendiendo el uno del otro, yo a cuidarlo de perros más grandes y a ser tolerante con que los niños lo tocaran y yo a sanar mi cuerpo con ejercicio.

Nano had qualities like being very independent; he thought he was the biggest dog on the block and wasn't afraid of any of the other dogs. I don't know how big he thought he was. Thanks to him, I started walking in a nearby park. We covered great distances, and he never seemed to tire. The truth is, he became my healing dog with his personality, and we looked out for each other. Without realizing it, we were learning from each other: me, how to protect him from bigger dogs and how to be tolerant of children touching him, and me, how to heal my body with exercise.

Nano vivió 14 años a los pocos meses que regrese de España su salud comenzó a deteriorarse, chocaba con las paredes, no quería casi comer y ya quedaba una decisión que me tomo un tiempo tomar, no quería verlo sufrir. Así que vino el veterinario a la casa y le puso unos medicamentos, yo estaba allí con el hablándole y despidiéndome de un amigo muy especial.

Nano lived for 14 years. A few months after I returned from Spain, his health began to deteriorate. He would bump into walls, barely wanted to eat, and I had to make a decision that took me some time to make. I didn't want to see him suffer. So the vet came to the house and gave him some medication. I was there with him, talking to him and saying goodbye to a very special friend.

Ahora hay otras dos mascotas en casa una de la sobrina es una husky siberiana llamada Allie y una mezcla de rottweiler y doberman llamada Malta es de mi hijo. Aunque yo las cuido ya no son mi responsabilidad pero uno siempre termina encariñándose con ellas.

Now there are two other pets at home: one is my niece's Siberian Husky named Allie, and the other is my son's Rottweiler-Doberman mix named Malta. Although I take care of them, they're no longer my responsibility, but you always end up getting attached to them.

Son mascotas muy inteligentes aprendieron rápido las ordenes que les enseñamos y hacer sus necesidades fuera de la casa en el patio. Se paran en la puerta y avisan que les abran. Malta es muy temerosa se esconde en mi closet cuando escucha ruidos fuertes como truenos o fuegos artificiales. Era la más pequeña de la camada y mi hijo es feliz con ella.

They are very intelligent pets; they quickly learned the commands we taught them and how to relieve themselves outside in the yard. They stand at the door and let us know when to open it. Malta is very timid; she hides in my closet when she hears loud noises like thunder or fireworks. She was the smallest of the litter, and my son is happy with her.
