They are mostly quite easy to keep alive and require rather minuscule amounts of watering. I've become fascinated by them a long time ago because of their gorgeous shapes displaying the golden ratio.

Check out Echeveria, one of my favorites.

Also, if interested read up on Crassula Ovata or the "Money plant". It's a must-have not only because of the story behind it but because it has such a strong good vibe to it.
