Summer Carpet Install: Warm & Cosy
It might seem counterintuitive to think about warmth in summer, but I wasn’t after hot warmth. I wanted a feeling of comfort. I learnt that plush carpets, while luxurious, can retain heat. So, I looked at other options.
Natural Fibres: Wool, for instance, is great at regulating temperature. It’s warm in winter and surprisingly cool in summer.
Lighter Colours: These reflect sunlight, preventing the carpet from absorbing too much heat.
Carpet Installation: Summer Comfort
Choosing the right carpet wasn't just about temperature; it was about creating a relaxing atmosphere. I opted for a textured loop pile in a neutral tone. It felt fantastic under bare feet and made the whole room feel softer. I also considered carpet tiles for their flexibility. You can easily replace a damaged tile without ripping up the entire floor.
New Carpet Install: Summer Refresh
The installers were quick and efficient, and the whole process was less disruptive than I’d anticipated. It really did give my place a summer refresh. Walking into my living room now, the difference is noticeable. It feels less harsh and more welcoming – the perfect escape from the summer heat. This summer, I'm seeing a fundamental shift towards earthy tones in interior design, making warm neutrals a trending carpet colour.
